The Children's Amusement Park is a park which is popular with both residents and tourists. It is one of the central places of the old Pskov. Until the 20 th century on its place there were residential areas, which were separated by Sadovaya Street (now Pushkinskaya), connecting Novgorodskaya (Karl Marx) and Velikolutskaya (Soviet) streets.

The location of the modern park is special. It is based on the site of the former Governor's Garden where young children of the pre-revolutionary period spent their leisure time and had different activities.

Nowadays it is the leisure park where everyone can meet up at the weekend. The Children park with amusements and walking paths features a miniature train, trampolines , electric vehicles and other attractions, including horseback-riding tours. Children look absolutely happy and excited being there, they laugh, run around, play different games and just enjoy the moment.

The Church of St Basil the Great on the Gorka is in the centre of the park. The church built in the 15 century was the highest building in the Middle Town, as it was on the top of a rather high hill.

The park is one of the most iconic places in Pskov. Whether you’re looking for a historical sight, a performance space or simply just a place to relax and eat, Children’s Amusement Park has it all. You are always welcome there!
