Сопроводительный текст к рисунку: «The drawing shows us a soldier leaving his home village, going to defend his Motherland. This work beautifully captures the themes of courage, sacrifice, and love for one’s country. There is a sense of bravery in the soldier's posture, but also an underlying sadness at leaving behind his loved ones and familiar surroundings».
